The Pamunkey Tribe announced plans to build a resort and casino in Richmond. In a strong statement that not everything exciting has to happen north of the river, this destination resort will be on the Southside. With poker and table games such as roulette, craps and blackjack, this will help bring visitors to Richmond and keep locals from having to travel out-of-state to experience this kind of fun. An entertainment venue to complement the existing arts scene, a spa and several restaurants will make this resort about so much more than gaming.
The Tribe has a strong commitment to building a solid foundation for their tribe and the communities in which they operate. That’s why a key part of this project is a workforce training facility along Richmond Highway where Richmond residents can receive training for the 1,500 jobs to be had at the resort and casino. Once the hiring and training is complete, that facility will be converted into something that the local community needs – a grocery store, health clinic or some other service that will benefit the residents of Southside.
We hope you are excited about this project coming to Richmond and are ready to be “All In.”
The Pamunkey Resort & Casino will have a significant impact on the City of Richmond and the Central Virginia region.
